Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Essential Training is a programme designed for beginning to intermediate Dreamweaver users who want to quickly get up to speed on the latest version of Macromedia's incredibly popular Web development application. This tutorial begins by covering basic Web authoring skills like working with text and images, adding links, modifying page properties, and managing your site. From there you'll move on to more advanced topics like using Dreamweaver 8's new unified CSS style panel, creating layouts with layers, and embedding audio and video files into your pages. This tutorial shows you everything you need to know to go from creating your first page to publishing an entire site on the Web.

Vista to be last of its kind?

vista.gifGartner has released a list of predictions for 2007 that include the claim that Vista is likely to be the last major release of a Windows operating system.

Future operating systems, the analyst company predicts, will be more ‘modular’ and will be automatically updated incrementally.

Simply put, this means that the basic components of the operating system would be downloaded from the internet on a basis that was dictated by individual users and put an end to the mass deployments of new operating systems that we currently see. Users would then download updates and add-ons as and when they needed to.
